Matthew A. Metro, Founder and Principal

Matthew A. Metro is the Founder and Principal of The Maison Group, Inc., a Washington, DC based executive search firm serving the real estate industry.  For over 15 years, Mr. Metro has represented owners, developers, builders, lenders and other real estate organizations in addressing and solving their recruiting initiatives.  Within these client organizations, Mr. Metro has completed numerous search assignments covering a variety of functional disciplines including development, construction, leasing, property management, asset management, acquisition/investment, finance/accounting, marketing and operations. 

Prior to founding The Maison Group, Inc., Mr. Metro worked with Grant/Morgan Associates, a local Washington, DC area executive search firm, as a senior executive search consultant and began his career with Robert Half International, a global recruiting firm.  He has been invited to speak on a number of panels regarding his expertise and presently serves as a Mentor for the ULI Young Leaders Program. Mr. Metro holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University and is an active participant in their undergraduate and graduate mentor program.

Julie Buckner, Director, Research and Recruiting 

Julie Buckner brings over 20 years experience in strategic recruiting  within both agency and corporate settings.  She has built teams of all levels from entry level employees to key executives.  Her track record of success has earned her numerous awards and distinctions within her field and she has maintained significant relationships throughout her career.  Her niches of concentration within the real estate industry have included commercial and residential property management and construction.

A lifelong Maryland resident, she earned her B.S. degree in Mass Communications & Journalism from Towson University and resides in the Baltimore area with her husband, two children, and two dogs.
